Ode to John Baird: Johnny Be Quiet

Johnny Be Quiet

Down Around Ottawa in West Nepean
Hails a Harris Boy who is loud and mean
With a head full of spaghetti and a heart of wood
He plays the big buffoon and he plays it good
He never learned to be nice but he barks so well
It's time to send this pitbull to dog-gy hell

Go, go, go Johnny go go
go Johnny go go
go Johnny go go
go Johnny go go
Johnny Be Quiet

He tried to privatize in Ontario
Costing us taxpayers a lot of dough
He fights against mass transit so we buy the gas
Always tryin' to prove that he's the biggest ass
He never has nothin' very smart to say
Darned if that fool doesn't say it anyway

Go, go, go Johnny go go
go Johnny go go
go Johnny go go
go Johnny go go
Johnny Be Quiet

His mother told him "some day you will be grown up"
But he's now 42 and still acts like a pup
And more like a gorilla mated with a clown
A pitbull and a ferret and the drunk in town
Some one's science project didn't turn out right
So little Johnny Baird it's time to say goodnight

Go, go, go Johnny go go
go Johnny go go
go Johnny go go
go Johnny go go
Johnny Be Quiet
