Is Canada Going to Invade Libya for the National Oil Corporation?

Here we go again. We learn that a US warship is headed to Libya and naturally Canada is right behind them, ready for another invasion.

How soon before we hear "terrorists" tossed around.
OTTAWA - The Canadian navy is preparing to send a warship to the waters off Libya, adding to the international military buildup in the region. Defence sources say the formal announcement will come later today. The Halifax-based frigate is expected to join an American carrier battle group led by the nuclear-powered USS Enterprise.

News of the short-notice deployment came on the same day as a Canadian military Hercules transport, en route to pick up stranded oil workers, was turned back from Libya.
Of course it wouldn't have anything at all to do with oil interests. From June of 2008, Petro-Canada and Libyan National Oil Corporation Sign New EPSA Contracts.
Petro-Canada announced today that it has signed six new exploration and production sharing agreements (EPSAs) with the Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC). The commercial terms of the new agreements, including the signing bonus, match those announced when Heads of Agreement were signed in December, 2007 and were ratified as of the signing, with an effective date of January 1, 2008.
Leave them to hell alone. We know how this will end if it ever does. The U.S. will put another puppet dictator in place and nothing will change for the Libyan people. I am so ashamed.

Linda McQuaig was right. We will forever be holding the bully's coat.
