Harper Paid Hush Money to Former Integrity Czar

In another breaking scandal this week, we learn that Stephen Harper paid off Christiane Ouimet with $400,000 tax dollars, to keep her quiet about the fraud allegations against his government.

Our tax dollars at work.
Disgraced former public sector integrity commissioner Christiane Ouimet was given a $400,000 severance package after she resigned last October in advance of a scathing report about her job performance.

The severance deal is for 18 months of regular salary at $354,000, plus benefits and other claims of $53,000, for a total of $407,000, CTV Ottawa Bureau Chief Robert Fife reported. The Globe and Mail is reporting her severance package includes a confidentiality agreement.
A confidentiality agreement? Someone we paid to speak for us?

Mad yet?
