David Climenhaga You Are a Genius. But I May Have to Sue.

Although I suppose I can't sue, seeing as how he did warn us that the Globe editorial may cause choking, hysterical laughter.

However, he never mentioned temporary blindness and convulsions.

I love David Climenhaga. His columns are always well researched, enlightening and/or funny.

But his hilarious critique of a Globe and Mail column is wonderful and a must read.
What a relief to know, then, that David Thomson, son of Ken, who in turn was the son of Roy (who along with Lord Beaverbrook anticipated Conrad Black's elevation to the magnificent House of Lords from the tawdry halls of Canadian hackery), "made it clear that his family will continue to respect the autonomy of these pages and the independence of Globe staff to What a relief to know, then, that David Thomson, son of Ken, who in turn was the son of Roy (who along with Lord Beaverbrook anticipated Conrad Black's elevation to the magnificent House of Lords from the tawdry halls of Canadian hackery), "made it clear that his family will continue to respect the autonomy of these pages and the independence of Globe staff to pursue the finest, most accurate and reliable journalism available to Canadians."

You just can't make up stuff like this. But, just the same, thank the Lord that someone did!
"Globe staff to pursue the finest, most accurate and reliable journalism available to Canadians." That is funny, especially given Jane Taber. No seriously. I will give you Jane Taber.

The Globe does have some very good journalists , but they are hardly the Holy Grail. They still write like a corporate owned newspaper, and their stories have a pro-corporate bent.

And I think that David Climenhaga is a genius.
